wind jackets for women

Women’s motorcycling leather jackets

A jacket is a type of sleeved hip- or waist-length garment for the upper body. For clothing older than the mid-nineteenth century, a distinction is often maintained with a coat, but in many instances the terms are now interchangeable. A jacket is generally shorter, ending just below the waist, and often lighter. Some jackets are fashionable, while others serve as protective clothing Motorbike jacket’s name is itself descriptive enough that these types are used by motorcyclists. Manufactured with an aim to provide protection against seasonal weather changes and security. These women’s motorcycle jackets are trendy giving desired complete protection.

TYPES OF WOMEN’S MOTORCYCLING LEATHER JACKETS

Vented racing jackets

The women’s Vented Racing Jacket is our best selling motorcycle jacket, highly functional with simple no frills styling. It has two generous vents front and rear with a tough mesh shell to allow maximum airflow. The main zipper has an interior wind flap to eliminate air penetration. An inside snap and zippered pockets are set in the leather facing on the left and right side (respectively). Elbows and shoulders are reinforced with extra leather. This motorcycle jacket is cut long in the back with a padded kidney panel.

Two options are available for adjusting the sides – snaps or lacing. There are two zippered pockets on the front of the jacket and expansion joints behind the shoulders. This leather jacket has zippered sleeves and an insulated removable full sleeve liner with a hide-away fleece neck warmer. Soft, heavy naked leather with a dull luster shows off the natural grain and compliments the antique brass hardware.

Women’s classic motorcycle jacket

The Women’s Classic Motorcycle Jacket I is cut extra long in the back with a padded kidney panel. Dual front and rear vents move the air easily through a mesh shell while an internal wind flap stops it cold at the zipper. A zip out full sleeve liner with a hide-away fleece neck warmer completes the climate control package.

Side lacing enables you to contour the motorcycle jacket to your body and an inside snap pocket is set in the leather facing where it won’t rip out. Leather is 1.2 to 1.4 mm soft, thick and supple with a dull finish.

Fitted classic leather jackets

The Women’s Fitted Classic Motorcycle Jacket is made of a very soft and supple 1.2-1.4 mm naked cowhide that affords serious protection. This Women’s Fitted Classic Motorcycle Jacket has a zippered expansion side adjustment to allow for comfort when sitting. There are expansion joints behind the airflow during warmer weather. There are two generous inside pockets; right pocket has a snap closure and the left has a zippered closure. There are two exterior hand warmer pockets. Tapered at the waist to enhance the woman’s shape, this is one of our best selling motorcycle jackets.

Hotels under $100/night in July? And what to pack?

Anything easily accessible by public transportation, or within 30 minutes walking distance, to the ferry terminal.
I don’t need a lot of service or attention, just a clean, safe place to sleep. I’m generally most comfortable in a 2- or 3- star small motel-type place in a good neighborhood.
I want to take the ferry to Victoria/Vancouver. I was in Vancouver before and loved the ferry. I can think of no better way to de-stress in a short amount of time on a budget.
Also, how much wind or rain can I expect in July? I understand it’s pretty warm (weather.com), but probably cooler by the water? I like to wear flowy skirts and dresses, which is not possible in San Francisco. Do I need a lot of sweaters, a heavy coat? Or can I just wear a t-shirt and light jacket?
Any other advice for a woman travelling alone who’s not interested in tourist traps, is appreciated as well
I’m looking at Seattle, WA, not Chicago..

Try the Eastlake Inn on Eastlake Ave E. It is about 15 minutes away from the downtown core on the #70 bus, which runs right in front of the motel every 15 minutes. Eastlake is a very quiet, safe neighborhood and there are several neat cafes within a couple of blocks of the motel (Louisa’s is great for breakfast or lunch, the 14 Carrot Cafe is a MUST for breakfast, and surprise surprise, there’s even a Starbucks).

As far as the clothes, I would say you’ll be OK with your skirts and dresses, definitely bring a light rain coat (nothing too warm…just a “shell”), and a sweater for evenings. We’re in a “La Nina” year which means cooler and wetter than normal. It’s been a rough spring so far and we’re all still waiting for the sunshine! So while July may normally be the best month to visit, you never know.

There is no ferry from Seattle to Vancouver, just the Victoria Clipper to Victoria, then you can take a Canadian ferry from Victoria to Vancouver.
